Overview
Refine your habit statements based on peer feedback and prepare to begin your habits next Monday. This is your last chance to adjust before you commit.
Deliverables
Submit to Canvas:
1. Refined Habit Statements
For each of your two habits, provide:
Original Habit Statement: (from Week 1)
Refined Habit Statement:
“I will [SPECIFIC ACTION] for [TIME/AMOUNT] [WHEN/HOW OFTEN].”
What changed and why?
- How did you make the habit more specific?
- What feedback did you incorporate?
- If nothing changed, explain why the original was already effective
2. Environment Design
For each habit, describe:
Physical/Digital Setup:
- What changes will you make to your environment?
- How will you reduce friction for your desired behavior?
- How will you increase friction for distracting behaviors?
Example:
“For my mixing habit, I’ll save a template with my reference track already loaded and gain-matched. I’ll also close Slack and put my phone in another room during practice.”
3. Obstacle Planning
For each habit, identify:

Implementation intentions:

4. Commitment Statement
Write a brief commitment (50-100 words):
- Confirm you’re ready to begin Monday of Week 3
- Acknowledge what consistent practice means to you
- Note how you’ll handle missing a day (it will happen!)
