Overview
Preparing for a professional session with live players. Every composer arrives at the studio with a Pro Tools session that works on the first try: correct sample rate and bit depth, tempo map and click, guide tracks, cue markers, and a track layout the engineer can read — plus parts and a score prepared to the standards a session musician expects.
In Class
- Hour 1: Q&A on the cues being recorded
- Hour 2: Session prep walkthrough — session settings, tempo maps, click and guide tracks, markers, routing, naming; what the engineer needs from you
- Hour 3: Hands-on: finalize each Pro Tools session and check it against the prep checklist; score and parts review
